The village of Melanthe sits on Caelum’s South side, primarily inhabited by farmers or folks who have retired from other jobs. Fields of wheat, barley, and plots of vegetables are seen everywhere this time of year, but Melanthe boasts the highest numbers.
On days when he cannot be found at the knights’ barracks, Ludo is tending to his home and fields here.
Make no mistake—she’d really like to see where all the #handsome boys are sparring but it’s not a productive use of her time. Or at least it can wait until she gathers some kind of wisdom she can bring with her back down to the sea.
Are there market stalls or is she trotting through small fields…? Her eyes are on veggies and also ready to lock onto the first farmer she comes across.
No stalls, simply quaint homes and long stretches of fields. Many have a person or two tending to them, but the world here is peacefully quiet. Music from Luthier is carried softly by the wind, catching on the chimes hanging from the houses and turning the windmill nearby.
Though many of the fields are grains, Milly can see one nearby that appears to be pumpkins? Or at least something similar.
Leif spots a familiar head of mousy brown hair not too far ahead. Milly? He quickens his steps to catch up to her, shouting a blunt, “Hey!” as he gets close. It’s rather rude, but his grin shows he doesn’t mean ill.
She’s letting her hair flutter in the breeze and thinks she’s just about in her element when someone speaks behind her. Milly quickly whips her head around to see Leif, eyebrows raised.
“Hi.” It comes out flat but it isn’t terrible to see a familiar face in this fairytale land. She paces a few steps closer to him so she’s not awkwardly watching him jog over. “There’s pumpkins over there. I think that’s really good.”
“Not happy to see me?” he asks jokingly in response to Milly’s tone. He looks over to the pumpkins she’s talking about and lets out a laugh. “Ahaha~ Pumpkins? They grow ’em up here?”
Is there a farmer nearby? Also what plants did Ludo say he grow—
“I didn’t mean that-” she sputters, unsure of why he Could Ever insinuate she’s displeased. Milly approaches the pumpkin field… is there a fence?
“They make good desserts… I mean, if you like them. Or cook. Do you?” Milly eyes his scars that could be baker’s burns, yeah!
