Narrator

The day of the festival has finally arrived, and though you’re special guests in the whole affair, you’re given plenty of time to make your way there before it truly begins. Luthier’s main square is decorated with wreaths of wheat, dotted with local flowers, and the large painted banners are draped between houses and establishments alike.

Genbu’s paintings seem to have encouraged the locals to create their own creatures, ranging from messy fantastical paintings from children to more delicate animals from older folks. In fact, some people approach your group right away to point them out on the banners, happy and excited for the days to come. A little bit of conversation explains (as far as you can understand, through the old-timey speech and the music lilting in the air around you) that this festival is sort of like a last big party before the new sage is sworn in, and thus there is plenty of food, drink, and enjoyment to go around.

And thus, you are encouraged to have fun! This would be a great time to share any relevant information your character has with other players, in case it becomes relevant later… Otherwise, Ludo can be seen wandering around the festival, as well as Adras and Gawain. Dantelion herself is not here yet, and her highest bards (Argent and Viola) are playing music at each side of her throne.

Please feel free to interact with each other, or tag me to interact with NPCs! You can also investigate whatever you want in the time before Dantelion arrives (an hour or so, depends on you guys).

Milly Dubois

Well, well, well… Milly loiters the art area with her hands clasped in front. She looks to see if anything vaguely aquatic was imagined, since these people live in the sky and it’d be neat!

Narrator

They sure have tried their best… Milly, you see turtles with funny long legs, and at least one approximation of a fish! It kinda reminds you of shitty taxidermy, though…

Robin J. Lovelace

Robin appreciates these kids’ artistry. Something about the unhindrered creativity of youth.

He’ll loiter around Milly until a pretty boy happens to walk past and capture her attention.

“Haven’t seen you as much. Anybody given you any trouble?”

Lazare

Festivals seemed to be just about the same everywhere you went huh? Food, music, and activities of some sort. But it was interesting to see where there were differences, often stylistic, so he was looking around and (pointlessly) taste testing some of the food being offered.

Unfortunately, the food didn’t taste any better nor did the decor look any better to him than it did down below. But that’s a him problem, not anything wrong with these islands.

Narrator

Maybe there’s at least some textural differences for Lazare… the atmosphere up here is different after all, so at least there’s some novelty in things that appear familiar having a different mouth feel.
