The graveyard is empty, of course. Whoever tends to the earth and plants around here must do so very early or very rarely, but it's in rather fine shape so you suspect it's the former. The graves are plenty, though you'll have to take a closer look to learn if there's folks from town or if this is straight up all nuns.

Nazario would like to first see if there are any graves that look... Different or commemorative.

Perhaps they can locate the headstone for the abbess by differentiating from the other graves.

You avoid tripping over any headstones 😊 And you can see a larger headstone not far from you. Maybe they started at the back, and it’s been filled in forwards over time? Regardless, you approach and see a well-tended grave, its headstone reading indeed with “ABBESS” across the top, and her name below. The phrase “A loving mother, always near” is inscribed beneath the date she died. Looks to be about 3-4 years ago, depending on what month it is right now because idk

Nazario Caligari

Is there a name?

Narrator

Lucia Rossi, though it’s not important. She certainly didn’t use it much in her life as an Abbess. Notably, there’s no mention of an illness or anything, but why would that be on a grave? At least, this one…

Nazario Caligari

:PES_Think: Okay, let's check out the surrounding graves instead. Just to see what other remarkable headstones we can find dated back to 3-4 years ago.

Narrator

Good thinking! Looks like there’s quite a few around the same time the Abbess died. Similar messages inscribed of care and nurturing, or sometimes just “Beloved Sister” if they were rather young. There’s no graves fresher than this batch from the illness.
