A new posting on Driftwood is giving folks the opportunity to sail alongside the great Captain Batsheva, as she has heard that there is trade being done in her routes around Dao Thu that she has not approved. The most gracious lady pirate is opening up the chance for new and old pirates alike to see how a good old-fashioned raid should go.

Players were brought along on a seemingly typical pirate raid, aiming to interrupt illicit trading done under Batsheva’s nose in “her” territory. However, upon approach it was clear that the Navy had gotten to them first. After taking care of the Navy, the traders were still under enough suspicion that the crew investigated the ship, stumbling into a variety of traps and enchanted rooms. With already clear evidence that the nature of the ship’s cargo was malignant and unsettling, they requested to see the final room which carried a handful of cursed or otherwise out-of-the-ordinary people being trafficked. Jesse shot and killed Lady Qing, the head of the traders, and Batsheva, Leif, and their newfound aid Irit took care of the rest.

After Lt. Commander Blair had left the ship, Jesse and Fakir rooted around a little in his captain’s quarters on the Navy ship. There, Jesse found a hidden stack of papers in a chest, with a familiar face drawn onto the topmost page.

Ezekiel, alongside various other officers, were compiled into Blair’s notes on a lengthy string of abuse within the Navy system. The notes go into uncomfortable detail on what was done to each of them and for how long they were being trained under a specific superior officer. Some are more detailed than others, of course, but it appears that Blair has been doing an immense amount of research on the matter.

However, Jesse cannot read these notes. They shared all but Ezekiel’s page with Batsheva, who made her own copies.
